Who Is Eligible for Hospice Care?

Hospice care is available to individuals of all ages, regardless of their diagnosis. Fresno Hospice provides compassionate support for patients with life-limiting conditions such as cancer, heart disease, end-stage lung, kidney, or liver disease, Alzheimer’s, ALS, and more. Additionally, individuals experiencing significant multi-symptom declines—such as severe malnutrition, weight loss, inactivity, and cognitive impairment (often referred to as “failure to thrive”)—may also qualify for hospice care.

To be eligible for hospice services, a patient must receive certification from both their primary physician and a hospice physician. At Fresno Hospice, we collaborate closely with your family doctor or specialist to create a personalized care plan that meets your unique needs.
